- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated scripts or bots (except for the intended web scraping feature)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
- Violate the intellectual property rights of others
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service
3. Account Registration

- Your Content is accurate and truthful
- Your Content does not contain malicious code or viruses
4.2 License to Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to:
- Store and display Your Content to you
- Process Your Content through AI services to provide requested features
- Create backups for data protection purposes
This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account, except for backups retained for legal compliance (see Privacy Policy Section 8).
4.3 Content Standards
Your Content must not:
- Contain false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Contain viruses or malicious code
- Be defamatory, obscene, or offensive
5. AI-Powered Features
5.1 Document Generation
Our Service uses Google Gemini AI to generate and refine resumes, cover letters, and supporting statements. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is based on your provided information and job descriptions
- The AI does not fabricate experiences or qualifications
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content
- Final responsibility for document content lies with you
5.2 Job Data Extraction
When you provide a job posting URL, we use web scraping and AI to extract information. You acknowledge:
- You have the right to access and use the provided URL
- Extracted data may not be 100% accurate
- You should verify extracted information before use
- We are not responsible for changes to job postings after extraction
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Service Ownership
The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, code, and trademarks, is owned by Job Application Tracker and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other laws.
6.2 Trademarks
"Job Application Tracker" and related logos are trademarks. You may not use these without our prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services:
- Google Gemini AI: AI processing and document generation
- MongoDB: Database hosting
- Email Service Providers: For verification and notifications
- Job Boards: When scraping publicly available postings
Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, content, or practices.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement of third-party rights
- Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
- Security or freedom from viruses
- Success in job applications or employment outcomes
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will meet your requirements
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
- Results obtained will be accurate or reliable
- AI-generated content will be suitable for your purposes
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
This includes damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Unauthorized access to your account or data
- Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content
- Loss or corruption of data
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Job application outcomes
- Third-party conduct or content
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Job Application Tracker, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your Content
- Your use of AI-generated documents in job applications
